About the position
Midnight Cookie Company is seeking a dedicated Retail Cashier and Barista to join our team in Seattle, WA. This part-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where customer service is paramount. As a Retail Cashier, you will be responsible for fulfilling customer orders both in-store and through delivery apps, ensuring that every customer receives outstanding service. We are looking for someone who can thrive in a production-oriented setting and adapt quickly to our changing business needs with a positive attitude. In this role, you will be the face of Midnight Cookie Company, welcoming customers, answering their questions, and providing them with an exceptional experience. You will operate the cash register, follow all cash handling procedures, and prepare espresso beverages efficiently. Maintaining a clean and friendly environment is crucial, as is packaging cookies according to our standards. You will also be responsible for restocking supplies and adhering to all state and CDC mandates during the COVID-19 pandemic, including wearing a mask at all times in the workplace. We are looking for individuals who are not only detail-oriented and observant but also possess strong communication and time management skills. A professional demeanor and a clean appearance are essential, as is the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The ideal candidate will have a friendly, outgoing personality and a great work ethic, with the ability to work independently until 1 AM.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming customers and answering customer questions
- Providing astoundingly awesome customer service
- Operating cash register and following all cash handling procedures
- Preparing espresso beverages in a timely manner
- Maintaining a clean and friendly customer environment
- Fulfilling orders in-store and for deliveries
- Packaging cookies according to standards
- Restocking workplace with appropriate supplies
- Following all state and CDC mandates during the COVID-19 pandemic, including wearing a mask at all times within the workplace
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must obtain a valid Washington State Food Workers Card
- Follow all state and CDC mandates during the COVID-19 pandemic
- Proficient with Android tablets and iPads
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Detail oriented and observant
- Willingness to adapt to on-the-fly situations
- Professional demeanor and clean appearance
- Ability to lift 50 pounds

- Great work ethic
- Ability to work until 1AM by yourself
