About The Position

Creative STEAM is seeking an energetic and experienced Middle School Teacher for a part-time, on-site role focusing on English & Math for 6th-8th graders. The teacher will be responsible for assessing students' academic levels, designing and implementing instruction to meet individual and group needs, developing curriculum, teaching English and Math, facilitating communication with stakeholders, and creating an inclusive learning environment. This position is at a non-profit learning center in Laguna Woods, CA, that offers an innovative alternative to traditional schooling with small group learning environments.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and state teaching certification
Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
Problem-solving and mediation skills
Teaching Credential Multi-Subject
