About the position
The Middle School Teacher - Math position at Franklin Middle School is responsible for providing quality education in mathematics to middle school students. The teacher will create a conducive learning environment, collaborate with colleagues, and engage in professional development to enhance instructional practices. This role requires effective communication with students, parents, and the community, as well as adherence to school and district policies.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a classroom climate and management plan conducive to learning
- Actively participate as a member of a professional learning community
- Contribute as a team member and/or leader to all school improvement initiatives
- Use technology as a means to support the work of teachers and students
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff and community
- Cooperate in carrying out school district rules and regulation. Be punctual and regular in attendance
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator's License with middle school endorsement in Math
- Experience working collaboratively with other teachers
- Experience in flexible grouping, including small group and individual instructional practices
- Cooperate in carrying out school and district policies and regulations
- Demonstrate teaching skills necessary to perform duties, including maintaining classroom control, utilizing appropriate techniques and being knowledgeable about subject
