About the position

The Middle School Math Teacher at Kairos Academies is responsible for delivering engaging and rigorous math instruction to students, fostering both theoretical and practical mathematical skills. The role emphasizes building positive relationships with students and families, maintaining effective communication, and adapting to the dynamic educational environment of the school. The teacher will also be expected to contribute to a positive school culture and support the academic growth of all students.

Responsibilities

• Adapt and implement a rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum
• Develop academically rigorous lessons, unit plans, rubrics, and assessments
• Use data to inform instructional decisions
• Provide daily feedback to students on their performance and plan for individual learning needs
• Build a positive school and classroom culture
• Embody and maintain the school's values, policies, and culture
• Build positive relationships with students, families, teachers, and staff
• Maintain strong communication with all parents and share progress
• Effectively manage a classroom with up to 25 students

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Master's degree preferred
• Missouri Substitute Certification required
• Valid Missouri Teacher Certification content specific to role applied for, strongly preferred or willingness to become certified ASAP
• 3+ years of teaching experience preferred
• Satisfactory completion of criminal records check, pre-hire and annually thereafter, if applicable
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and provide work authorization
