About The Position

The After School Teacher is a vital part of our school community, carrying out many of the duties necessary for the day-to-day operations of the campus. This position will supervise Middle and High School students in indoor and outdoor settings, tutoring, and homework help. Crucially, this role will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean learning environment for our energetic and motivated students.

Requirements

High school graduate or GED
Prior experience working with children preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience
Ability to connect with a variety of colleagues and students
Frequently walk, stand, sit, squat, stoop, reach, kneel, rise from the floor, twist, listen, read, write, and speak the English language.
Often carry, lift, use repetitive or fine hand movements, and occasionally push, pull, or bend.
Regularly hear and use clear vision with or without correction.

Responsibilities

Supervise Middle and High School students in indoor and outdoor settings.
Provide tutoring and homework help.
Maintain a safe and clean learning environment.
Receive students in the morning or dismiss students in the afternoon, greeting parents, checking identification.
Assist students with homework.
Collaborate with other faculty and staff members.
Be responsible for the safe supervision and care of students.
Perform light cleaning duties such as sweeping, wiping down tables, and trash removal during lunch.
