Middle School - 7th & 8th Grade Science

About the position

The anticipated position is for a Middle School - 7th & 8th Grade Science Teacher who will report to the Middle School Principal. The teacher will be responsible for preparing engaging, standards-aligned instructional materials and developing lesson plans that meet state standards and district curriculum goals. The role requires teaching scheduled classes with creativity and a student-centered approach, fostering an inclusive learning environment, and evaluating students' academic needs.

• Facilitate activities that promote teamwork, collaboration, and positive peer relationships.
• Establish a classroom culture that encourages curiosity, engagement, and mutual respect.
• Participate in extracurricular activities to support the school community.
• Embody high ethical standards, integrity, and confidentiality in all professional conduct.
• Maintain a clear record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.
• Demonstrate a passion and desire to teach and inspire the students of Archbold Schools.

Requirements

• Valid State Department of Education licensure/certificate.
• Licensed to teach 7th and 8th Grade Science.
