About the position

The Mid Web Graphics Designer at Battelle Memorial Institute will support a U.S. government client focused on countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD). This role involves developing creative solutions for web applications, enhancing user interface features, and maintaining web-based systems. The position is contingent upon award and requires a DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develops solutions to complex problems in creative and effective ways by analyzing existing programs and new systems.
• Designs and develops user interface features, site animation, and special-effects elements contributing to the design group's efforts look and feel of the organization's online offerings.
• Responsible for developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining web-based application systems, such as user interface, or site animation. Troubleshoots and solves software issues.
• Performs research on technical problems and suggests improvements for web applications.
• Works independently and as a member of a multiple functional, dynamic team.

Requirements

• DoD Secret clearance
• Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft ASP.Net, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or other commonly used programming languages
• Adobe Creative Cloud training/certification
• Knowledge of commonly used web developing languages (e.g., HTML, JavaScript, Java, Flex, Flash, AngularJS, jQuery, PHP, JSP, ASP.Net, Python, AJAX)
• Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication skills, both orally and in writing
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision and possess strong time-management and organizational skills.
