About the position

The Microsoft Cloud Solution Engineer at Lenovo will be responsible for the development, testing, and integration of Lenovo ThinkAgile solutions on Microsoft Azure Stack platforms and Windows Server. This role involves working closely with both Microsoft and Lenovo's solution development teams to ensure product readiness and timely defect resolution, focusing on cutting-edge x86 server hardware and systems management tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and integrate Lenovo ThinkAgile solutions on Microsoft Azure Stack platforms and Windows Server.
• Collaborate with Microsoft and Lenovo solution development organizations on platform architecture and software stack.
• Ensure product readiness through timely defect resolution and communication to the broader Lenovo development organization.
• Work with x86 server hardware and systems management tools.
• Utilize scripting languages such as Microsoft Powershell or Python for automation and integration tasks.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Solution Engineer or in a similar role.
• At least 2 years of experience with Powershell or other scripting languages such as Python.
• Familiarity with firmware development/testing experience, including UEFI and BMC controllers.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with system management software (System Center, WAC).
• Experience with Storage Spaces Direct or other hyperconverged systems.
• Ability to install and configure server hardware and familiarity with OS internals and architecture.
• Windows kernel experience is a strong plus.
