About The Position

This role is responsible for managing and developing profitable group business, achieving senior-level revenue goals, and mentoring sales staff. The position involves leading complex contract negotiations, executing sales and marketing strategies, and representing the hotel at industry events. Key functions include developing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, conducting sales calls and presentations, and ensuring client needs are met through coordination with other departments. The role also requires monitoring market trends, maintaining accurate sales records, and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Previous sales, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to negotiate and close business opportunities
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and sales systems/CRM platforms
  • Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed

Responsibilities

  • Own and develop profitable group business, maintaining direct, senior-level relationships
  • Produce senior-level revenue goals
  • Coach and develop Sales Managers and Coordinators in prospecting, proposal development, and account strategy
  • Lead complex contract negotiations, including multi-year programs, enterprise rate agreements, and large incentive groups
  • Execute sales and marketing strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows, industry events, and key client meetings; manage convention and group business
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, corporate accounts, and local businesses
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase revenue
  • Conduct sales calls, site visits, and presentations to prospective clients
  • Respond to inquiries and prepare proposals, contracts, and agreements
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
  • Coordinate with Operations and other departments to ensure successful execution of client needs
  • Attend networking events, trade shows, and community events to promote the property/company
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, accounts, and forecasts
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve client concerns professionally
