About the position

The Key Account Manager at TE Connectivity will play a crucial role in the Connected Living Solutions (CLS) business unit, focusing on leading and developing sales in the lighting industry. This position involves strategic planning, managing customer relationships, and ensuring the execution of sales strategies to achieve growth objectives. The Key Account Manager will oversee commercial and technical aspects of customer interactions, aiming for maximum profitability and customer satisfaction while expanding market share.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Lighting sales teams with a focus on effective performance management and talent development.
  • Analyze current sales trends and market conditions to drive the Sales and Operations Planning process.
  • Develop a robust Lighting revenue and forecasting plan based on market trends and supply chain conditions.
  • Utilize existing customer relationships to drive growth in adjacent technologies within TE's product portfolio.
  • Conduct analysis of sales territories to ensure high productivity and account penetration.
  • Communicate the customer account strategy clearly and effectively.
  • Consult and lead the sales team to execute the sales strategy.
  • Regularly communicate with internal disciplines on pricing, projects, quality, and logistics.
  • Ensure the Lighting sales strategy is executed with direct customers and distribution partners.
  • Build strategic customer relationships and capture customer insights to grow market share.
  • Align and communicate with key internal stakeholders such as product management and engineering.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-10 years experience in sales, preferably in the lighting or connector industry.
  • Strong business, commercial, and technical acumen.
  • Ability to develop and implement sales strategies to grow revenue and market share in South America.
  • Proven experience in developing effective regional and account strategies.
  • Experience in evaluating market conditions and competitive threats.
  • Capability in demand planning and sales operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed sales goals and outpace market growth.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Analytical and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency and bias for action.
  • Knowledge of systems such as Salesforce.com, MS Office, and SAP.
