About the position
As a Metal Fabricator at Koester Corp, you will be integral to the manufacturing and fabrication processes, focusing on welding and assembling metal components and structures. This role requires versatility and a commitment to quality, ensuring that all fabricated items meet project specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble metal components, structures, and products according to engineering drawings and project requirements.
- Perform various welding processes to join metal parts and materials effectively.
- Thread, assemble, and install pipes, tubes, and fixtures, ensuring proper alignment and secure connections.
- Safely handle and move metal materials, including cutting, bending, and shaping as needed, using saws and other equipment.
- Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints and drawings to execute fabrication accurately.
- Perform routine maintenance on welding, fabrication, and cutting equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Work closely with team members and project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Welder and Metal Fabricator in a similar role.
- Proficiency in MIG welding techniques; TIG experience valued but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with various metal types, thicknesses, and fabrication methods.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in metalwork.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices.
- Pipe Welding or other certification(s) a plus.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
