About the position

The position at Carter's Inc. involves leading merchandising strategies for the fastest-growing business segment, with a focus on business management, marketing, pricing, and team development. The role requires collaboration with various teams to drive growth and ensure alignment across marketing and merchandising efforts. It is based in a hybrid work environment and reports to the VP of Merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Lead business strategies and generate new initiatives for the fastest-growing business segment.
• Utilize reporting tools to analyze selling reports and present insights to influence future line structures.
• Support creative decisions for product assortment in collaboration with Design, Art, and PDC teams.
• Partner with the Global Sales team to drive growth in the Wholesale Channel.
• Identify marketplace trends and opportunities for growth.
• Develop unique marketing strategies for the Little Planet brand across various channels.
• Collaborate with the Site Merchandising team to enhance brand strategy for the website and app.
• Manage product margin and pricing decisions to meet revenue goals.
• Ensure accuracy of product information for downstream tools and support product ranking and mapping.
• Maintain strong cross-functional relationships and support seasonal calendar development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 4-7 years of experience in retail buying or merchandising, with critical experience in developing line structures.
• Ability to understand and translate trends for the brand.
• Strong knowledge of retail metrics for effective analysis across channels and markets.
• Experience working with design, sourcing, product development, and tech design.
• Well-developed presentation skills for senior-level executives.
