About the position

The MEP Manager will lead the coordination and management of the commissioning process for Mission Critical projects at Brasfield & Gorie. This role involves working closely with project teams and owners to ensure the successful completion of all MEP trade work, maintaining positive relationships with design and construction teams, and implementing the company's commissioning process throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Review Contract Documents, making suggestions/recommendations as they relate to the MEP trades
  • Review MEP, OFCI submittals and shop drawings to ensure alignment with project drawings and specifications
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with project design and construction teams, both internal and external
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems into the overall project design
  • Assist with the management of MEP subcontracts throughout the project duration
  • Implement Brasfield & Gorie's commissioning process from Level 1 to Level 5
  • Facilitate quality assurance program for owner-furnished equipment
  • Manage Commissioning Software (CxAlloy) for the project
  • Review and Approve MOPS for Energizations/Tie ins/Fill and Flush
  • Review project documents related to installation and equipment
  • Coordinate and lead equipment walkdowns to inspect and sign off for Energizations
  • Develop and manage the commissioning schedule working with Subcontracts and OFCI Vendors
  • Work closely with the CxA to coordinate their schedule
  • Actively participate and/or lead internal and client meetings related to turnover and commissioning
  • Supervise, develop, and mentor project staff, if applicable

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with MEP construction and commissioning management
  • A relevant degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is advantageous
  • Thorough knowledge of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and low-voltage systems
  • General understanding of Building Codes, Mechanical Codes, Electrical Codes, and Plumbing Codes as they relate to construction
  • Strong experience in managing relationships with owners' representatives, architects, engineers, and clients
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Commissioning experience on large-scale Mission Critical projects is preferred
