About the position

High Country Behavioral Health is seeking a part-time and full-time Mental Health Technician for our Mental Health Residential Facility, Solutions House, in Douglas, WY. The Solutions House is a psychiatric rehabilitation program for adults with serious and persistent mental illness. Shifts are 12+ hours and scheduled 7:30 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m, and range from dayshift to nightshift, including weekends. Must be available to attend orientation with a mutually agreed upon training schedule and then transition to a regular schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily care activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating.
  • Document medication intake and ensure clients are taking their medications as prescribed.
  • Assist with shopping and meal planning to ensure clients have access to healthy food options.
  • Provide transportation to appointments and community activities.
  • Monitor clients for any changes in behavior or medical conditions and report any concerns to medical staff.
  • Engage clients in therapeutic activities such as art, music, and exercise.
  • Help clients develop and maintain daily routines and schedules to promote stability and well-being.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with individuals in behavioral health preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and customer service in all interactions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to establish rapport with clients.
  • Clear driving record.
  • Successful completion of HCBH pre-employment screening and background check.
