About the position

Valley Cities Behavioral Health Care is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Professional to join our team in Kent, WA. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $24.34 to $37.02 per hour, depending on experience and licensure. As a Mental Health Professional, you will play a crucial role in providing integrated, quality, and recovery-oriented behavioral health services to individuals and families facing complex mental health challenges. In this position, you will provide a range of services designed to assist clients in coping with their mental health situations effectively. You will engage in a collaborative process with clients and other team members to deliver crisis services as needed, helping clients identify their goals, needs, and resources. Services will be provided both in-office and in the community, utilizing telehealth options to promote accessibility and quality outcomes. You will also have the opportunity to participate in professional development and leadership opportunities, as well as join our on-call/per diem provider pool for additional income. As a clinician, you will be responsible for educating clients and their families about the recovery process, collaborating on recovery plans, and providing crisis management services. This dynamic role requires flexibility and adaptability, as you will be working in various settings, including clients' homes, hospitals, schools, and shelters.

Responsibilities

  • Orients and educates clients and their families by meeting them in and out of the office; explaining the role of the clinical case manager; collaborating on the recovery plan.
  • Provides Crisis Management Services and performs real-world problem solving with clients.
  • Works with Care Coordinator to make and monitor applicable referrals, and may accompany clients to access these referrals.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary recovery plan meetings and coordinates information and service requirements with other service providers.
  • Fosters peer support and provides education to others regarding the care coordination/management process.

Requirements

  • MA/MS degree in human services field or Licensed LMFT(A), LMHC(A), LICSW(A).
  • Mental Health Professional (MHP) certification required.
  • Ability to transport clients as needed.
  • Pass required background checks.
  • Experience in clinical work is a plus.
