About The Position
This role involves providing expert clinical mental health nursing care and consultancy services to support recovery-focused outcomes across community, acute, and rehabilitation settings. The position requires a high level of autonomy, clinical leadership, and contribution to service improvement initiatives. The consultant will support best practice through education, quality improvement, and evidence-based care, while also mentoring multidisciplinary staff and contributing to the development of safe, innovative, and consumer-centred mental health services.
Requirements
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with a current practising certificate.
- Hold a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated expertise in mental health nursing practice and leadership within multidisciplinary settings.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and change management skills with a commitment to consumer-centred care.
