About the position

Healthy Connections Community Mental Health Center is seeking passionate and dedicated mental health counselors to join their award-winning team. The role involves providing behavioral therapy and counseling to clients, particularly children, in both school and office settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to professional development and the ability to engage with clients in both English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide behavioral therapy and counseling to clients, utilizing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
• Engage with clients in both English and Spanish, fostering a supportive environment.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies as needed, particularly for children and families.

Requirements

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Master's degree in a relevant field
• 1 year of experience in mental health counseling
• Registered Mental Health Intern (RMHI), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification required
• Strong organizational skills
• Experience with motivational interviewing and behavioral therapy
