About the position

The position involves processing member sign-ups, renewals, and added cards, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience for new and existing members. The role requires instructing members and potential members about the various membership options, warehouse services, and credit programs available. A key aspect of the job is to assist members with inquiries regarding item availability, ensuring they have access to the products they need. Additionally, the position entails issuing replacement and temporary cards, processing credit applications, and providing a high level of member service to enhance customer satisfaction. The responsibilities also include processing membership and merchandise returns by members, either for cash or credit. This involves writing or entering information for disposition tags on non-saleable merchandise and making necessary price adjustments. The employee will be required to research items using computer systems, obtain verification and approvals when necessary, and efficiently ring up returns on the cash register. Documenting customer adjustments performed is also a critical part of the role. The position requires active engagement with current and prospective members to increase membership sign-ups and warehouse sales. This includes attending and participating in local community events to foster excellent community relations. The employee will also be responsible for contacting expired members to encourage renewals, thereby contributing to the overall growth and retention of the membership base.
