About the position

The Member Services Advisor III at Bellco Credit Union is responsible for processing a variety of financial transactions and providing exceptional member services in both lobby and drive-up settings. This role requires maintaining a thorough knowledge of all Credit Union products and services, evaluating sales opportunities, and establishing new accounts for members. The advisor will also support loan applications and closings, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and adherence to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Process a variety of financial transactions and member services in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all Credit Union products and services.
• Evaluate sales opportunities and make recommendations to members.
• Establish new accounts for potential and existing members.
• Submit loan applications and provide support for loan closings.
• Communicate with members positively and provide exceptional service.
• Understand and comply with federal and state regulations and branch procedures.
• Access and navigate various banking systems and devices for daily operations.
• Open and maintain personal, estate, and business accounts for members.
• Process international and domestic wire transfers accurately.
• Handle digital appointments and ensure timely starts.
• Conduct loan closings and disbursements according to established procedures.
• Perform non-lending service transactions for member accounts.
• Assist with account maintenance and changes for members.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of sales experience.
• Three years of customer service experience.
• Lending experience preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform all teller duties with high balancing efficiency (85% or higher).
• Ability to accurately enter data and update member financial records.
• Ability to identify needs and sell appropriate products and services.
• Ability to obtain and perform Notary services.
• Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred.
