About the position
The Member Services Advisor III at Huron Bellco Credit Union is responsible for processing a variety of financial transactions and providing exceptional member services in both lobby and drive-up settings. This role requires maintaining a thorough knowledge of all Credit Union products and services, evaluating sales opportunities, and establishing new accounts for members. The advisor will also support loan applications and provide Notary services, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations while contributing to the overall goals of the branch.
Responsibilities
- Process a variety of financial transactions and member services in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all Credit Union products and services.
- Evaluate sales opportunities and make recommendations to members.
- Establish new accounts for potential and existing members.
- Submit loan applications and provide support for loan closings.
- Communicate with members in a positive manner, providing exceptional service.
- Understand and comply with federal and state regulations and branch procedures.
- Access and navigate various banking systems and devices for daily operations.
- Assist members with account maintenance and service transactions.
- Contribute to corporate and branch goals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six months of cash handling experience.
- One year of sales or customer service experience preferred.
- Lending experience preferred.
- Ability to interact positively with others in person and via communication channels.
- Ability to perform teller duties with high balancing efficiency (85% or higher).
- Ability to accurately enter data and update member financial records.
- Ability to identify needs and sell appropriate products and services.
- Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Bellco or in financial services preferred.
- Certified Notary Public.
