About the position

The Member Service Advisor II at Achieva Credit Union is responsible for delivering exceptional service to members by maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the credit union's products and services. This role involves cross-selling products, resolving member issues, and providing technical support in a call center environment. The advisor must demonstrate strong communication skills and uphold the credit union's ethical standards while working independently and meeting productivity goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, friendly, and accurate service to members via telephone, email, and live chat.
  • Cross-sell credit union products and services to enhance members' financial lives.
  • Resolve product or service issues by clarifying member concerns and providing effective solutions.
  • Perform member maintenance tasks, including updates to account information and research as needed.
  • Provide first-tier technical support for Achieva's digital services, including online and mobile banking.
  • Authenticate member identities and mitigate fraud risk during interactions.
  • Process fraud and dispute claims for debit and credit card transactions.
  • Conduct product and system testing as required by the department.
  • Maintain high levels of procedural knowledge through continuing education and inter-departmental shadowing.
  • Represent the credit union professionally and maintain member confidentiality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a financial institution.
  • Minimum 3 years of call center, sales, or related experience.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and good interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with lending policies and guidelines.
  • Familiarity with card/payment software.
  • Ability to work remotely and troubleshoot technology issues.
