Member Engagement Associate - Full Time and Part Time
About The Position
Altea is Canada’s premier fitness and wellness destination, offering multiple boutique studios, modern recovery, and lifestyle amenities under one membership. We combine the quality of a standalone boutique with the breadth of a full-service club, delivering an experience that members build their week around. We are the membership members actually use, with everything designed to deliver a premium member experience. The Member Engagement Associate is the first person a member sees upon entering, shaping their entire experience. This role is the face of the club on every shift, greeting members by name, making guests feel welcome, and setting the tone for Altea. The scope includes the front desk, recovery services, and the ProShop where applicable, all maintained to an exceptional standard.
Requirements
- Experience in a customer-facing, hospitality, or service role.
- Warm, clear communicator comfortable with people of all backgrounds and energy levels.
- Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in the details of their work.
- Comfortable with basic computer systems, check-in platforms, and member-facing software.
- Available for a mix of morning, evening, and weekend shifts.
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C, maintained annually.
- Criminal Background Check required prior to commencement.

- Fitness or premium retail experience is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Welcome every person who walks through the door with warmth and presence, making members feel recognized and valued.
- Manage the check-in process efficiently and accurately, ensuring every visit is logged, every guest is registered, and every detail is handled.
- Assist members with recovery services and ProShop needs, maintaining the same warmth and knowledge as at the front desk.
- Learn and remember regular members' names, preferences, and routines to foster a sense of being known.
- Handle inquiries, account questions, scheduling requests, and concerns calmly and confidently, reflecting Altea's values.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professionally presented front of house area on every shift.
