About the position
The Medication Technician at The Blake at Carnes Crossroads is responsible for providing medication management and support to residents in a senior living environment. This full-time position emphasizes the importance of compassion and service, ensuring that residents receive their medications accurately and effectively while promoting their overall well-being. The role includes reporting health changes, assisting with dining and activities, and maintaining medical records, all within a supportive and growth-oriented workplace.
Responsibilities
- Report changes in the health and status of residents and complete daily data sheets to record progress.
- Ensure medication management program is provided accurately and professionally according to The Blake standards and state regulations.
- Provide explanations about medication dosage and pharmacology when needed.
- Distribute prescribed medications to residents and maintain related medical records.
- Assist with dining as needed or directed by the leadership team.
- Engage residents in activities to promote happiness and well-being.
Requirements
- Must have a caring heart and willingness to serve others.
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent.
- Current Medication Technician License issued by the state.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
- Must be flexible and prepared to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Experience working with older adults preferred.
