About the position

The Medication Partner position at Arrow Senior Living involves providing compassionate care to residents in a senior living community. This full-time role focuses on administering medications, assisting residents with daily living activities, and fostering a supportive and empathetic environment. The position requires a commitment to personal and professional growth, as well as a dedication to enhancing the quality of life for residents.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the proper administration of medication to residents.
  • Maintain medication carts and proper recordkeeping.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and oral care.
  • Create human connections with residents during their vulnerable moments.
  • Foster an inclusive and positive environment by engaging with team members and the community.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities within the organization.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be appropriately certified per state guidelines and certification must be active and in good standing.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Professional appearance and conduct are necessary.
  • Mature interpersonal skills to work effectively with co-workers.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
  • Positive and energetic attitude towards residents.
  • Basic computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be criminally cleared and in good health, verified by a health screening.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a healthcare or senior living environment.
  • Certification as a nursing assistant or similar role.
