About the position
Bravo Recruiting Solutions is urgently hiring a compassionate and detail-oriented Medication Aide to provide essential patient care and medication administration. This role is crucial in supporting individuals in need, contributing to a dynamic and supportive healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor and report patient vital signs, medication side effects, and any unusual changes.
- Provide patient care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting, as needed.
- Assist with daily living activities such as feeding, ambulation, and transferring patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Utilize electronic medical records systems such as Cerner to document patient information.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide dementia care, hospice care, memory care, and home care to patients with varying levels of acuity.
- Perform catheter care and other specialized medical procedures as needed.
- Ensure patient safety by adhering to infection control policies and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Requirements
- Current active license as a Medication Aide & current active license as a CNA
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in patient care, caregiving, or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical records systems
- Experience working in a nursing home, hospice care setting, or with patients who require memory care or home care
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and adhering to established standards of practice.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a rehabilitation center (1 year preferred)
