About the position

HealthSource of Ohio is seeking a Medical Triage Support professional to join our team. This role is essential in providing quality, patient-centered care by collaborating with the Practice Manager and Care Management Director. The Medical Triage Support will be responsible for promptly answering, screening, and processing medical service requests and telephone inquiries while adhering to confidentiality agreements and policies. The position emphasizes the importance of triaging clinical patient inquiries to ensure accurate communication and documentation in patient medical records, as well as providing education to patients and their families to promote better health management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Practice Manager & Care Management Director
• Answers, screens, and processes medical service requests and telephone inquiries
• Adheres to confidentiality agreements and policies
• Triage clinical patient inquiries to maximize accuracy of communication
• Documents communication in patient medical records and required clinical follow-up
• Provides education to patients and their families
• Works with the physician to select appropriate educational materials

Requirements

• LPN - Valid Ohio License required
• MA - Completion of an MA program required, CMA/RMA preferred
• 2-3 years' experience required
• Family practice & medical office experience preferred
• Triage experience preferred
