About the position

Under the leadership of the Laboratory Director & Coordinator, ensure that all activities & assets of assigned section(s) are effectively managed in order to achieve departmental & organizational goals. This includes supervision of personnel performing those activities and charge capture/compliance duties. Responsible for procedures on various patient specimens giving careful attention to safety, quality assurance and regulatory guidelines including documentation of results. Work closely with LIS Administrator for data management; assist Director & Coordinator with QA, PI, regulatory and other duties necessary for the smooth operation of the department.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise personnel performing laboratory activities.
  • Manage charge capture and compliance duties.
  • Ensure safety, quality assurance, and regulatory guidelines are followed.
  • Document results of procedures on patient specimens.
  • Collaborate with LIS Administrator for data management.
  • Assist Director & Coordinator with QA, PI, and regulatory duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology or related degree or equivalent level of experience.
  • Minimum 3 years Clinical Lab, LIS, and POCT experience.
  • Proven advanced technical, supervisory, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
  • MLS (ASCP) certification or equivalent.
  • Section Specialty Certification.
  • Working knowledge of computers and laboratory equipment.
