About the position
The position involves administering medical care to team members, responding to emergencies, and performing general clerical duties in accordance with Peco Foods' policies and procedures. The role requires maintaining medical equipment, managing health records, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations. The position is primarily night shifts on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Sunday.
Responsibilities
- Administer medical care to employees needing first aid and evaluation of injuries and illnesses according to standing orders.
- Maintain and service medical equipment, including AEDs and medication dispensers, and restock supplies as needed.
- Execute duties assigned by the supervisor, including accurate recordkeeping of injuries and understanding OSHA regulations.
- Complete and maintain records associated with workman's compensation claims and manage employee health records in compliance with HIPAA.
- Initiate Incident Reports and document incidents and treatments accurately.
- Perform clerical duties such as answering phones, taking messages, and maintaining daily logs of treatments.
- Complete pre-employment medical reviews and obtain drug tests as needed.
- Treat injured and ill employees with compassion and assist with medical management and emergency care.
- Ensure the medical office is cleaned daily and audit production areas as time allows.
- Maintain current licensure and certifications, including CPR/AED/First Aid.
Requirements
- Required State Certification for EMT, Paramedic, or nursing degree.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Basic computer skills and ability to multitask.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
