About the position

The Medical Sales Executive at USI Holdings Corporation is responsible for driving new business revenue growth while maintaining existing business relationships. This role involves developing strong partnerships with brokers, demonstrating product knowledge, and strategizing sales opportunities to enhance the company's market presence in the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

  • Develop positive business relationships with brokers to ensure continued sales growth.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the discovery process and conceptual presentations of Emerson Rogers' products and services.
  • Create and implement a sales business plan that includes prospecting strategies for new broker leads.
  • Prepare for and actively participate in sales meetings and one-on-one meetings with the sales manager.
  • Utilize strategic thinking and innovation to guide brokers through healthcare reform complexities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers.
  • Collaborate with brokers on sales opportunities to grow the book of business.
  • Comply with CRM tasks to track appointments and label broker opportunities appropriately.
  • Assist with service functions for key cases, including renewal and service activities.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to sell new business and maintain positive broker relationships.
  • Strong consultative sales approach with a high degree of self-motivation.
  • Goal-oriented with high activity levels and excellent listening skills.
  • Ability to creatively and proactively problem-solve in a busy environment.
  • Personable, credible, professional, and dependable demeanor.
  • Strong understanding of Employee Benefits and market needs.
  • Familiarity with products, services, competitive offerings, and industry trends.
  • Good understanding of alternate funding arrangements including self-insured and fully insured options.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting benefit-related facts and figures.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Life, Accident & Health License is required.
