Responsibilities

  • Greet patients, families, and visitors to establish a friendly encounter.
  • Answer phones and manage incoming calls effectively.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient registrations.

  • Adapt to changes in staffing levels and patient volumes as needed.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills in all interactions.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • At least two years' experience in a medical office or one year of Cook Children's Physician Network medical office experience.
  • Understanding of diversified insurance plans.
  • Knowledge of coding and medical terminology.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to withstand pressure in relation to public and physician interactions.
