About the position

Starting pay for this position is $17.60/hour. This is an Hourly position. Medical Office Assistants perform clinical and administrative duties consistent with Medical Assistant program education, training and experience. They work in both the clinical and front office functions of the practice providing clerical and assisting in the delivery of health care and patient care support activities. The Medical Office Assistant performs duties in accordance with the specific needs of the practice. This is a part-time position requiring 18 hours a week, specifically on Mondays and Fridays from 7:00am-5:00pm (CST).

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical and administrative duties consistent with Medical Assistant program education, training and experience.
  • Work in both clinical and front office functions of the practice.
  • Provide clerical support and assist in the delivery of health care and patient care support activities.
  • Perform duties in accordance with the specific needs of the practice.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum of six months' experience with computer, Microsoft Office, and email.
  • Minimum of 6 months' health care facility clinical experience.
  • Evidence of current enrollment or completion of OSF Medical Group Prime Path Bridge Program or successful completion of a MedsCert Medical Assistant Program.

Nice-to-haves

  • Completion of a medical assistant program or equivalent.
  • Minimum of six months' experience as a medical office assistant (MOA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of six months' experience with an electronic health record.

Benefits

  • Sign-On Bonus for this Part-Time Position: $675 for external candidates and internal new graduates with less than 2 years of experience; $900 for external candidates with 2 or more years of experience.
