About the position

Theoria Medical is seeking a full-time Medical Director to oversee skilled nursing facilities (SNF) and participate in administrative and quality initiatives. The physician will serve as the medical director and attending physician, collaborating with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities include attending quality assurance meetings, guiding facility staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing resident care. The position offers flexible scheduling, no overnight duties, and a supportive work environment with NP/PA assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as medical director for skilled nursing facilities (SNF).
  • Participate in administrative and quality initiatives.
  • Attend monthly quality assurance and process improvement meetings.
  • Provide guidance to facility staff and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Supervise facility clinical staff.
  • Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for resident care.
  • Diagnose and treat patients with acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Complete provider documentation in Theoria’s proprietary electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Participate in Chronic Care Management, Transitional Care, RPM, and other medical quality initiatives.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with appropriate licensure.
  • Experience in skilled nursing facilities or similar settings.
  • Ability to supervise and collaborate with clinical staff.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
