Responsibilities
- Serve as medical director for skilled nursing facilities (SNF) and participate in administrative and quality initiatives.
- Attend and participate in monthly quality assurance and process improvement meetings.
- Provide guidance to facility staff and review/revise clinical guidelines as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and train facility staff.
- Supervise clinical staff at the facility.
- Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage day-to-day resident care.
- Diagnose and treat patients with acute illnesses and chronic diseases.
- Complete provider documentation in Theoria's proprietary electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Participate in Chronic Care Management, Transitional Care, RPM, and other medical quality initiatives.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with appropriate board certification.
- Experience in a medical director role or similar leadership position.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in skilled nursing facilities (SNF) or post-acute care settings.
- Familiarity with Theoria's proprietary EHR system, ChartEasy™.
