About the position
The Medical Director-Psychiatrist at Life Strategies Counseling Inc, part of the Optum family, is responsible for providing psychiatric care and overseeing clinical operations across multiple locations in Arkansas. This role combines direct patient care with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high-quality mental health services are delivered to vulnerable populations. The position emphasizes a holistic approach to healthcare, addressing the physical, mental, and social needs of patients.
Responsibilities
- Provides psychiatric care, medication assessments, and crisis response to new and existing outpatient clients
- Oversees clinical operations at 16 Life Strategies locations throughout Arkansas
- Develops individual evaluations based upon assessment data and provides therapeutic interventions as necessary
- Directly supervises APRNs to help them provide exceptional patient care
Requirements
- MD/DO psychiatrist licensed in Arkansas
- 5+ years of clinical experience
- Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families
