About the position
The Medical Director MD at Central City Concern serves as a key leader in providing comprehensive medical care, detoxification, and stabilization services for clients. This role involves collaboration with the Operations Director to ensure high-quality care and mentoring of clinical staff, while also contributing to the strategic direction of the program. The position emphasizes evidence-based addiction care and the promotion of professional standards among clinical staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care at HDSC, dedicating 0.5 FTE to clinical duties and 0.5 FTE to administrative responsibilities.
- Supervise Physician Assistant Clinical Staff and lead Nurse Practitioner Staff.
- Teach and supervise OHSU Fellows and Residents.
- Serve as a clinical leader for LMPs and other clinical staff at addiction clinical programs, providing clinical consultation and teaching.
- Participate in the Call-pool for HDSC LMPs.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in a medical leadership role.
- High School Diploma/GED.
