About the position

The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in the patient care team, supporting physicians with various procedures, patient intake, and treatment programs. This full-time position requires a dedicated individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently while ensuring high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and conduct intake, including vital signs and medical history.
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms before and after procedures.
• Assist physicians with medical procedures as directed.
• Administer injections and perform IV infusion therapy, including starting IVs and drawing blood for lab work.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times during patient interactions.
• Prepare custom medications for patients as directed by physicians.
• Operate medical equipment as needed during patient care.
• Keep workspaces clean and organized.
• Master the practice management software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Cover front desk duties as needed or directed by supervisors.
• Support the Treatment Program Director with various tasks as required.

Requirements

• Must have experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical setting.
• Bilingual in English and another language is preferred.
• CPR Certification is required.
• Proficient in taking vital signs and administering injections.
• Experience with EMR systems for at least 1 year is preferred.
• Must have at least 2 years of experience in blood draws and vital signs.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual skills are a plus.
• Experience with IV insertion is preferred.
