About the position
The Medical Assistant's primary responsibility is the implementation of medical/health related tasks as directed and overseen by the RN Clinical Coordinator of Day Services and Program Manager. The Habilitation Aide is responsible for the implementation of each individual's Individualized Program Plan as determined by the individual and his/her Service Planning Team. This includes, but is not limited to: assisting with personal hygiene, dining, ambulating, transportation, behavioral support, and overall health and well being of the individual. The Habilitation Aide meets regularly with their supervisor and confers with other members of the individual's Service Planning Team to ensure services are appropriate and meet with expressed (or implied) needs, likes, and choices of the individual.
Responsibilities
- Implement medical/health related tasks as directed by RN Clinical Coordinator and Program Manager.
- Assist individuals with personal hygiene, dining, ambulating, and transportation.
- Provide behavioral support and ensure overall health and well-being of individuals.
- Meet regularly with supervisor and confer with Service Planning Team members.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Verbal and written communication skills necessary for essential functions.
- One year of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Experience with medical appointments and medication ordering and administration required.
- Valid driver's license and driving record that meets Pathways insurability guidelines.
Benefits
- Increased starting wage of $17.00 to $19.50 based on related experience.
