As a contract Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment.   • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, and assist healthcare professionals with patient care and treatment
  • Provide patient education and provide excellent customer service to patients and their families
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures
  • Manage medical equipment and supplies.
  • Measure and assess vital signs, height, weight, and neurological status, visual acuity, and hearing.
  • Obtain and record patient vital signs and medical history, and screen patients for alcohol dependence, depression, etc.
  • Collaborate and coordinate patient care with other health care providers.
  • Perform quality control for capillary blood glucose monitoring checks, fridge temperature checks etc.
  • Recognize life-threatening emergencies, initiate and maintain resuscitation measures, and other emergency procedures as appropriate to the situation.
  • Answer and screen telephone calls
  • Schedule patient appointments and maintain patient records
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • 2-3 Years of Experience in a medical office environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program
  • Certified/licensed Nursing Assistant certificate
  • Current certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) required
  • Applicants must have an active, unrestricted, and free of disciplinary action certificate/license in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Must be a U.S. citizen

  • Ability to work full-time
  • Previous IHS experience preferred
