About The Position

Join The Oregon Clinic as a full-time Credentialed Medical Assistant or Non-Credentialed Medical Assistant at the Broadway Medical-Pediatrics Clinic in Northeast Portland. This role focuses on providing high-value, patient-centered care with kindness and empathy. You will work collaboratively with colleagues and physicians to ensure an efficient and positive patient experience. The position involves direct patient interaction, assisting medical staff, performing tests, scheduling appointments, maintaining the clinic environment, utilizing EMR systems, updating records, and contributing to overall patient care delivery.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of previous experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
  • Certification through a national agency such as AAMA, NCCT, etc. is strongly preferred.
  • Medical Assistants must be certified within 90 days.
  • Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire.
  • Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent attendance and work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
  • A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric healthcare experience is a plus!
  • EPIC experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the medical staff by collecting information, escorting patients to exam rooms, and preparing patients for examination.
  • Assisting with procedures and performing related tests/monitoring.
  • Scheduling appointments for new and established patients as needed.
  • Maintains a comfortable, orderly, safe, and clean environment.
  • Utilizes EMR to process prescriptions, retrieve test results and patient files.
  • Updating records as needed.
  • Assisting with the overall delivery of patient care in the department.
  • Other duties as assigned.
