About the position

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team at Premier Care for Women. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare providers in delivering exceptional patient care and support medical administrative functions in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Perform vital sign measurements and record patient information accurately.
• Provide medical-surgical support in various clinical settings.
• Handle patient inquiries and ensure a high level of customer service.
• Support urgent care needs and assist in emergencies at a Level I Trauma Center.
• Conduct medical coding and billing tasks efficiently.
• Collaborate with hospital medicine teams to ensure seamless patient care.
• Offer medical administrative support to optimize clinic operations.

Requirements

• Certification or diploma in Medical Assisting.
• Proficiency in physiology knowledge and medical terminology.
• Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
• Strong patient care skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle urgent care situations effectively.
• Familiarity with coding procedures and medical administrative tasks.
• Knowledge of conducting vital signs assessments accurately.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with EMR systems (1 year preferred)
• Experience in Ob/Gyn (1 year preferred)
• Experience with vital signs (1 year preferred)
