About the position

We are seeking a friendly and well-organized Medical Assistant or LPN to join our clinical team at Bakal Dermatology Associates. The ideal candidate must be a team player with a positive attitude and possess experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR). This full-time position requires evening availability and involves various clinical responsibilities to support our dermatology practice.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and obtaining medical history, prescription history, and other intake information.
• Surgical set-up and assisting with procedures.
• Performing suture removals.
• Preparing treatment rooms and cleaning/sterilizing medical instruments.
• Conducting phlebotomy and specimen handling.
• Contacting patients with laboratory results.
• Performing phone triage.
• Prior authorization of medications.
• Scheduling appointments.
• Stocking and maintaining clinical work areas and exam rooms.
• Other tasks/responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience with EMR systems.
• Experience as a medical assistant or LPN.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
• Service-oriented attitude.
