Responsibilities

• Prepare for patient appointments by reviewing and updating patient records.
• Maintain exam rooms according to protocols and ensure necessary supplies are stocked.
• Provide initial medical screening and document patient information accurately.
• Assist providers during patient examinations as requested.
• Facilitate communication between providers and patients, including translation when necessary.
• Perform general clerical duties such as answering phones and completing forms.
• Obtain lab specimens and perform basic medical tests under provider direction.
• Maintain computerized patient medical records and ensure proper documentation.
• Participate in a designated clinic team and support quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certified Medical Assistant in the state of Utah.
• BLS Certification (Basic Life Support).
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• 1 year of Medical Assistant work-related experience preferred.
