About the position
Women's Care Mid Cities is seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join their team. The role involves managing front desk operations, verifying insurance, utilizing EMR systems, and ensuring the cleanliness and sterilization of medical instruments. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required for this full-time position.
Responsibilities
- Manage front desk duties, including greeting patients and scheduling appointments
- Verify insurance information and handle patient billing inquiries
- Answer phone calls and provide exceptional customer service
- Utilize EMR (eClinicalWorks) to maintain accurate patient records
- Assist with cleaning and sterilizing medical instruments and exam rooms
Requirements
- Must have eClinicalWorks experience
- Bilingual applicants only
- Experience working at a front desk in a medical setting
- Experience working back clinic, performing pregnancy tests, and other procedures that you will be trained for on the job
- Proficiency in verifying insurance and handling patient billing
- Strong communication skills and a professional phone demeanor
- Knowledge of proper techniques for cleaning and sterilizing medical instruments
- Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution is required
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
