The Medical Assistant - Behavioral Health is an ideal opportunity for those seeking to be an integral part of a multidisciplinary outpatient behavioral health clinic setting. The Medical Assistant position at MultiCare will allow you to engage with patient customers while working closely with your clinical team to provide excellent customer service and patient care. The Trueblood Medical Services team provides community-based medical support to Trueblood Class Members who are enrolled in Pierce County Trueblood Element Programs including FHARPS, FPATH and OCRP with low-barrier, jail and/or community-based, and timely access to medical care, medication maintenance, and prescribing services. This position is a necessary, ancillary, safety-net to address the gaps in the Medicaid-based behavioral health system while the Trueblood Element Programs work towards establishing long-term behavioral health care for the Program’s Participants. This program will ensure that eligible Program Participants have access to the health care that they deserve on their terms. Person-centered services and interventions will be provided that are equitable and racially just, using trauma-informed, harm-reduction approaches.
Requirements
- Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)
- Current BLS Certification

- One (1) year of clinic or hospital experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform direct and indirect patient care in a clinical area, assisting medical staff with patient care and follow-up
- Utilize knowledge towards the integration of available standards, resources, and data
- Assist with office duties as needed, applying discretion, good judgment, and diplomacy towards excellent office and patient care management
- Partner by implementing a service-oriented attitude, professional integrity, and solid decision-making capacities
- Effectively prioritize and apply organization and flexibility to work duties
