Esse Health is currently seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for its St. Charles Complete Care office located at 1551 Wall Street. In this role, the MA will perform back office functions such as assisting in examination and treatment of patients, interviewing patients, measuring vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and recording information in the patients chart or EMR. This individual is highly visible in their interactions with patients and must therefore project a positive office image at all times including smiling; greeting patients with enthusiasm; and maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude in all interactions with patients and coworkers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in examination and treatment of patients
  • Interview patients
  • Measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height
  • Record information in the patients chart or EMR
  • Project a positive office image in interactions with patients and coworkers

Requirements

  • Formal training indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • CPR Certification
  • PC/Windows proficiency
  • Medical coding proficiency
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments
