About the position
The Medical Assistant/Nurse position involves providing essential support in a medical office setting, primarily focused on internal medicine and primary care. The role includes performing various clinical tasks, assisting with patient care, and ensuring smooth operations within the office during regular business hours.
Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs and medication reconciliation
- Administer injections and conduct phlebotomy
- Conduct EKGs and assist with vision tests
- Manage phone messages and referrals
- Handle prior authorizations and assist with medical procedures
- Utilize EMR systems (eclinical works) for patient documentation
Requirements
- Valid Certified Medical Assistant certification
- Experience in nursing
- High school diploma or GED
- Medical office experience
