About The Position

M Physicians is seeking a motivated individual for their Cardiology Clinic to support providers and patients. This role is vital to the team and offers a career path for those with formal training as an EMT, Medical Assistant, or LPN, or for those looking to gain hands-on clinical experience. The clinic supports patients with various cardiac needs, including preventative care, coronary artery disease, hypertension, heart failure, and atrial fibrillation. The team consists of providers, RNs, clinical support staff, and scheduling staff working collaboratively to provide excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will enjoy being part of a team and have a passion for patient care.

Requirements

As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): NREMT & MN EMT certification
As a Medical Assistant (MA): Medical Assisting Diploma from a CHEA/CAAHEP accredited program (CMA or RMA preferred)
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Active Minnesota Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) license
As a Visit Facilitator: In the absence of a certification or license, a high school diploma or GED and 1+ year of customer service experience is required

Responsibilities

Support providers and patients during clinic visits.
Monitor clinic schedules.
Greet and guide patients to examination rooms.
Collect pertinent medical information for health records.
Coordinate and communicate with other members of the health care team, including nursing staff, advanced practice providers, and physicians.
Assist with minor in-office procedures, give injections and immunizations, and perform other laboratory/sample collections, depending on scope of certification or license.
