Responsibilities
- Perform initial intake screening by verifying the reason for patient visits.
- Obtain and record patient information and vital signs.
- Prepare and maintain examination and treatment areas.
- Assist providers with patient flow and time management.
- Maintain and update medication and immunization records.
- Schedule, coordinate, and monitor patient appointments.
- Apply principles of aseptic techniques and infection control.
- Perform inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Review and complete ancillary charges for office visits.
- Serve as a communication liaison between the physician and patient.
Requirements
- Vetted by the State through testing as a Medical Assistant Certified.
- Good to excellent computer skills, including the ability to navigate multiple applications.
- 1 year of experience preferred.
- Able to communicate effectively in oral and written form in English.
- Current American Heart Association CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
Nice-to-haves
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience in the specialty area related to position vacancy.
- Experience in OBGYN outpatient/medical office.
