About the position

The Medical Assistant position at Adventist Health Castle involves providing non-invasive, routine technical support services under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations within the primary care setting, contributing to patient care and clinic efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Sets up exam rooms and checks in patients.
• Maintains a patient recall system, including continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals, and transfers.
• Obtains vital signs and reports significant findings to the clinic physician.
• Performs venipunctures as ordered.
• Conducts audiometry and vision testing.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or a certificate from CHDP within six months of hire preferred.
• Phlebotomy certificate preferred.
