Requirements

  • Previous experience in a comparable position or in a school environment is preferred.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external partners, including families, supervising teachers, and other Compass staff.
  • Experience working with blended, online, personalized, and/or virtual learning schools preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in library technology or educational technology is beneficial.
  • Proficient to advanced skills in Google Workspace, Student Information Systems (SIS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and library/textbook management software.
  • High attention to detail in data collection, organization, and executing complex administrative tasks such as inventory and expenditure control.
  • Understanding of methods, techniques, and procedures for instructional materials and media processing, storage, and distribution.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form with a diverse community of staff, scholars, and parents.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, coordinate, and lead the acquisition, processing, storage, and distribution of all incoming and outgoing print and non-print instructional materials.
  • Manage the curriculum locker to ensure specialized data management, storage, and retrieval systems are maintained for inventory control.
  • Receive used materials for the Curriculum Locker and update inventory records. Discard unusable materials.
  • Act as the point of contact for vendors; assist with acquiring quotes, verifying shipments for discrepancies or damages, and processing invoices.
  • Coordinate with supervising teachers and staff to provide resources that support the curriculum; interact with families to facilitate material needs and usage.
  • Perform annual and ongoing inventory of materials; maintain records of missing or damaged items, and perform minor repairs on instructional materials and equipment.
  • Apply and abide by all state laws, codes, regulations, and school policies regarding instructional materials.
  • Other duties as assigned.
